Ümit Han, a Cologne-based artist of electronic music, composer, performer, and experimenter, entered on his musical journey in 1994 as a DJ. From 2006 onwards, he graced numerous labels, remixing artists like Max Cooper, Minilogue, and Gabriel Ananda. Since his debut release in 2006, Ümit Han has been captivating audiences nationally and internationally. After completing his sound engineering studies in Cologne, he started on a collaboration with Traum Schallplatten in 2011, releasing works on Traum, Trapez, Trapez ltd, and Telrae. Since 2017, he has exclusively released conceptual ambient and experimental works on various labels, as well as independently. From 2017-22, Ümit Han produced lsb.TV Cologne, an audiovisual, experimental live performance show aired biweekly on German television. He also crafted sound design & music for various projects. In November 2022, he joined the Kompakt Records family, where his debut "Sieg Über Das Ungute" and 2023's "Nirgends" were released, which is featured on the notorious "Pop Ambient" compilation curated by Wolfgang Voigt. His follow up will come end of November 2024. Aside from engaging in diverse artistic endeavors, he has forged collaborations with esteemed artists including the Berlin School and Krautrock icon Harald Grosskopf. His collaborative ventures extend to Mijk van Dijk, Akmusique, and the Cologne guitarist Dominik von Senger, affiliated with the CAN circle.
