Biography

The Flow was introduced in 2002 when he exploded onto the scene with group, The Federation gaining much traction. In what promised to be a big year, he was in demand performing through the Bay Area. Flow reached many heights during this time, and was given the opportunity to open for one his childhood Rap music heroes E-40 at Summer Jam. Later with life’s downfalls Jai East would soon be faced with some troubles, and must take a little vacation in prison. Upon his release, Jai East immediately went back in the studio and did what he knew best, “create”. Reinventing himself as Unda Flow, A mature Jai East was now fully aware and ready to tap into his full potential as a cross over artist. He decided to use his birth name, Jai East for his career. He felt the need to lay his true self out for the world. His vision was clear he had to use his gift, and feed the world positive messages. This would leave his old lifestyle behind, give him new life, and leverage in an overly saturated market. Considering his mark or legacy to leave for his children, Jai East was thinking on a bigger scale. He would now use his innate ear for music and scout talent. In 2016, he started new record label, “The Red Shu”. His big announcement of project Candy which was the best song of Summer 2016 is back with a twist remix featuring E-40, Mistah Fab, and Marty James to claim Summer 2017. Stay tuned as Jai East continues to knock down barriers and give the world what they need, his flow.
