“6fo”, born George Opoku, on Nov 13, is a Ghanaian American Artist based out of New Jersey. Born in Ghana and raised in America, George has since made both locations home. Growing up his trials have been to prove that he’s good enough to represent for both countries, it’s a never ending struggle as a multicultural artist. With his sound and perseverance, he’s become respected in both locations as an artist. As the oldest of 5, 6fo is no stranger to coming in first and leading in a lane of his own. At the age of fourteen, 6FO began really taking rap seriously and thence forth has earned respect and credibility from rap battles and ciphers. Over time George became known for his unprecedented grind and style and because of it has been featured on sites like XXLMag, The Source, AllHipHop and InflexWeTrust, to name a few. Youtube has contributed to his viral success with his videos exceeding 500k views including his most recent single, “Walk in Dey Park” ft Medikal, which has been backed by Charlemagne The God, on Power 105.1. In present day , 6fo spends a lot of time in the studio perfecting his art. Before the pandemic, 6fo graced the stage with Artist Medikal for groundbreaking performance for Ghana’s first ever Afronation along with other artist such as Medikal, Alkaline and Burna Boy. There is a distinct hunger in his voice when he graces the mic and the substance in his music easily separates him from the rest. Be on the look out for the music take over in 2021.
