Grenadian Island-Pop princess, Camille Claudette, debuted her musical career in 2019 with the hot Groovy Soca single ‘Sugar Mame’ produced by Xpert Productions in Carriacou Grenada. Shortly after she collaborated with KingzMen Productions on ‘Night & Day’ - Ace of Hearts Riddim, followed by ‘Spice Girl’ with Mashworks Productions. In the 2020 KayakMas Groovy Soca Monarch competition Camille placed 2nd in the Semi-Finals as a first time competitor and went on to perform ‘Sugar Mame’ in the Groovy Soca Monarch Finals. Singing from the day Camille could talk, the multi-talented songstress told her parents at the tender age of 3 that she would grow up to be a famous singer. She put her pen to paper at the age of 9 and decided she would spend the rest of her life doing just that. Attending only Performing Arts and Music schools, she exercised her gift in every musical, choir, theatre production and studied vocal music, which lead her to take up audio recording and engineering put her on the path towards a solo Recording Artist. Immediately after birth, Camille was taken back to Grenada to be raised, however she did return to the US where she did all her schooling. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York exposed to a “brick”/cold hood life influenced the singer’s unapologetic rebellious edge, but raised by very strict Grenadian parents the only music allowed in her household was Calypso and Reggae. This influenced her to fuse the two cultures to create the ‘Island Pop’ sound.
