Jonathan “Jubsta” Affat born in South Africa, grew up in the small city of Gqeberha (formerly know as Port Elizabeth). From an early age, he was attracted to music and the effects it had on him. Soon he started piano lessons, this would be the foundation of his music creation. Whenever a piano or keyboard was in front of him, he would freestyle some melodies and sing whatever came to mind. At the age of 12, Jubsta was introduced to FL Studio. For the next 7 years he would use this program to develop his producing skills. At the age of 19, he moved to the big city of Johannesburg to pursue his musical dreams. He took a course in music production and sound engineering, to progress his talent to a profession. His ambition would not rest, leading him to co-found Xango Roots. The company bases itself on all creative expressions, from art to music and from dance to design. Xango Roots encourages uniqueness and originality, we do not believe in conforming to the expected norms of society. Therefore, Xango Roots allows for the artistic expression of everyone, not just the everyday pop-stars.
