Game Theory

Biography

Sydal started freestyling with his friend Tyrone Kemp at age 11. He would bang on the desk in class and rap, often pulling the attention away from his teacher. When Tyrone passed away 3 years later in 1996, Sydal wrote "Stop The Pain" (his first written song), which was a dedication to his fallen friend that pushed him deeper into writing and recording. This is when Sydal discovered his outlet. He went on to feature on a song titled "We Be Sav's" in early 2001 at Keep It Real Studios in San Jose, CA. Shortly thereafter, he connected with Larry K and recorded "Game Theory", which was his first full-length record released in 2003. Sydal would go on to record two albums in 2003/2004 with his group P.O.F, both of which remain unreleased. He has since featured on songs with the likes of San Quinn, Swoop, Spendoe, JC, DJ Abbico, Jymini, Assassin, Scrilla Mac, V-Boy, Anita Fixx, Playa Rae, and Young D. He took a hiatus from rapping for 8 years to hone his songwriting and production skills, and is back in the studio recording as of March 2021. Expect a new Sydal album as well as a Sydal & Young D collaborative effort.
