Sandra Vu worked as a drummer for celebrated indie rock groups, playing with Dum Dum Girls and The Raveonettes, and as a percussionist with Spiritualized, among others, before stepping out on her own with SISU. Handling all vocal, instrumental, and songwriting duties, Vu crafts dark, moody indie rock inspired by the colder tones of ‘80s synth acts like New Order, shoegaze, and goth-tinged darkwave. SISU had grown into a fully formed touring band, including musicians Julianna Medeiros, Nathanael Keefer, and Ryan Wood.
