Kevin “Falah Salaam” Cannon, back in the day from1984 to 1991 was Double-K. And released my first song entitled, "let me get close to you," on Sims Records in 1988. The success of that led to a featured spot on the WGPR 107.5 morning show, “The High School and collage roll call“. With my hip-hop group called 3rd Kind, they published an album called “Klose Enkounters Uva Da Third Kind” on Sick-Monk Records in1998. We opened for RUN DMC, Da La Soul, Rob Base just to name a few. As a solo artist, I have won numerous awards such as the Miller Genuine Draft MC battle 2002, the Pepsi Slam freestyle King 2002, and The Detroit hip-hop awards freestyle artist of the year 2002. I have been in rap battles from the HIP-HOP SHOP to BET’s 106 and park. I am currently the director of Cannons like BOOM entertainment. I wrote, directed and stared in our first an improv show called The Loft Lounge. After working in the Plymounth school district for 3 years volunteering for 4. I notice that a lot of young people today don't really know true Hiphop. So I created a "Hiphop culture class" to teach young people the four elements Hiphop, and it's true meaning. I focus on Griffiti and teach spraypaint Art and raping as well as the art of emceeing. This class has been tought at YputhVille Detroit, Jhon R. King Elementary School and The Art Experience. In 2014 I released an album called "Caution" with D. Grizzo, Most recently In 2019 I released the album “I’m Falah”
