Hailing from the UK and based in York, Matty Mateo is an emerging rapper, singer songwriter who’s style extends across an array of genres including rap, melodic rap and RnB. With a particular adoration for Latin American music, Matty aspires to switch up the vibe, break down barriers and bring a whole new flavour from the UK to build a global community 🫶🏻 Beginning with a series of Spanish (and later Spanglish and English) EPs uploaded to SoundCloud, Matty released his first studio album NUMBER ONE FAN in 2021 including collaborations with Nicoslatt, DAMZ1E and long term friend, mentor and producer Kritikal Powers. Performing live for the first time soon after, Matty went on to sell out the Fulford Arms alongside Powers and Isi Dee in the summer of 2022.
