Jennifer Lauren is a Nashville based singer and songwriter from Colorado, known for her passionate storytelling and unique live shows that feature rotating players and entertainers of all persuasions - like dancers, comedians, poets, and other artists. Every show is just a little different than the one before, so you'll want to watch them all! Like so many other 90s kids, her first musical love was Mariah Carey. That's right, Jennifer Lauren is a hardcore member of the Lambily! Growing up, she found artists like LL Cool J, Usher, Ginuwine, Maxwell, Deborah Cox, TLC, Boyz II Men... and countless others, who were all using smooth arrangements with a vibe and warm vocals that marked a beautiful era in the evolution of music for her. Those songs were the soundtrack to her teenage angst, mistakes, loves, and losses. When Jennifer decided to study singing, which didn't happen until her late 20s, she focused first on Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, and Dana Owens (Queen Latifah's true jazz lovin' self). As her repertoire grew, she found great love for Etta James, Billie Holiday, and Amy Winehouse. And now, she's added Lady Gaga, Adele, Ariana Grande, and Brittany Howard (Alabama Shakes) to her list of vocal legends to study and learn from. Despite all these influences, Jennifer Lauren doesn't sing like any of them. Her voice took its own path to something just a little bit new.
