MAGNUM PI- Born James Marquis Tolliver, Feb. 28th, 1986 in Berkeley, CA. Grew up in North Oakland where he learned to express his self through writing poetry as an escape from the struggles of a broken household. When he became a teen he moved to Sacramento where he transitioned poetry to writing music. He had influences such as Tupac, Ice Cube, Too Short, Nas, Yukmouth, E 40, Mac Dre, Michael Jackson, & the Hot Boyz. Magnum PI with his unique ability illustrate a scene of his life through factual lyrics is not only a performer. But a songwriter, actor, and general entertainer who is affiliated with multiple genres including Hip/Hop, Rap, R&B, and Pop. Magnum PI has been entertaining audiences since 2009, with recently performing at The House Of Blues in Houston Texas.
