Origin Crxss (f.k.a. Origin), released his sophomore solo project, “Faith Over Fear”, in fall of 2021 to widely positive reviews from his audience. He has been receiving plays from radio stations and DJs since his 2021 monthly singles campaign leading up to the release of his mixtape. Crxss has began showing up in other media too such as interviews, song reviews and shout outs on media platforms. 
 Born Jaquan Frierson, in Detroit, MI, the Cass Tech and Wayne State University alumni, Origin Crxss started rapping in elementary school. With unsurpassed lyricism and unadulterated rapping ability he is one of the best artists to come from Detroit. He got his start performing at events around the city and his college campus, where he earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2018 he started his record label Val'Ed Records and released his first project, an EP entitled "Journeys Remain Forever". "My sound has been compared to @Chance the Rapper, @Childish Gambino and @Big Sean. Since me and @Manny Sparks first started recording, we knew this is what we wanted to do."
