Jana Semaan started playing the cello at the age of eight. At fourteen, she performed her first solo concerto with the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra. She moved to Germany and pursued her cello studies at the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart, where she became an honorary graduate in Cello Performance as well as Baroque Cello. During her studies, Jana was touring the world regularly under the baton of Daniel Barenboim and others, performing in several international festivals in Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Lebanon and participating in masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Yo-Yo Ma, Lluis Claret, and others. In 2018, she returned to Beirut and founded the first Early Music Center in the Middle East at the Antonine University. Today, Jana is one of the most requested recording artists in the middle east, she continues to perform regularly around the world and creates cello related Youtube Videos under the umbrella of Redbooth.
