RUF (also known as JSL) builds bass heavy music in the original Dubstep genre. Part of the pioneering OHOI! Sound System crew out of Copenhagen - promoting, producing and playing heavy bass focused UK genres since 2002 (UK Garage, Drum N bass, Ragga, Grime, Dubstep). OHOI! also runs Kraken Recordings - established 2007 as part of the early state of the Dubstep movement. Started producing music around 1991 building wierd (ie. very poor sounding) "beats" on a Amiga 500, using the much loved programme, Sound Tracker. Has had numerous releases on various labels under different aliases as both producer, rapper and remixer in genres like Hip Hop, House, Reggae, Dub, Techno, UK Garage and Dubstep.
