From a very young age, the Oakland, California native was captivated and nurtured by some of the greatest music ever recorded. His first ever composition, entitled “Please Stay” caught the ear of D’Wayne Wiggins of Tony! Toni! The buzz was rapidly growing, earning Ross a recording and production contract with MC Hammer’s RWI Entertainment. These early days as a writer, producer and artist saw Benjie co-creating hits for a stable of giants including D.R.S’s #1 Billboard ® smash “Gangsta Lean”. In addition to his multi-platinum artistry, Benjie Ross formed his own production company as a fresh graduate under the moniker: BSR Productions.
