South Florida artist and producer Miyami (Miguel Angel Moreira) was born in Cuba and raised in Miami, Fl. His first Musical endeavor began in 2006 When he learned to play the guitar while simultaneously playing in various rock and metal bands. The first few years of his childhood was full of moving from home to home and changing schools almost every year even dealing with homelessness "My parents didn't know where to go being immigrants to this country". "When I was a child I remember growing up and listening to the Backstreet boys, Michael Jackson and Cher with a pencil in my hand as if i was performing the songs". In 2006 he was gifted an electric guitar and fell in love with making music practicing everyday after school "Needless to say I was not a Grade A student".
