Dave Camille is a Vienna-based multi-instrumentalist artist deeply committed to exploring the vulnerable side of beauty in music. His lyrics revolve around an open approach to love, pain, hope, sensuality, passion and honesty, encapsuled by ethereal, otherworldly sounds on one side of the musical spectrum, and influences ranging from 80s Synth Pop, Quiet Storm and Art Pop to modern R'n'B and Rock on the other. The story, told from the perspective of a hopeful lover seemingly observing from afar, is one of unrequited unconditional affection, lust and obsession, which seem to overpower the reasonable self-control so eagerly needed in this hopeless emotional conundrum. The lyrics flow in aesthetically poised melodies, encircled by rich, mysterious sound spaces, as if the song was echoing from a glittering, thick, purple nebula in a far-away galaxy, in the midst of inescapable natural forces.
