Biography

On the concert podium, Elisabeth Breuer has established herself as a much sought-after interpreter of the works of Bach, Handel, Haydn and Mozart. Performances have taken her to renowned concert halls such as the Elbphilharmonie, the Vienna Musikverein, the Leipzig Gewandhaus, the Cologne Philharmonie, the Munich Philharmonie am Gasteig, as well as to many other important concert stages throughout Europe. She sings under renowned conductors such as Ton Koopman, Daniel Harding, Franz Welser-Möst, Andrew Manze, Dennis Russel Davies or Andrés Orozco-Estrada and performs with important orchestras such as the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden, the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, the MDR Symphony Orchestra, the Norddeutsche Radiophilharmonie, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Concentus Musicus Wien, the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra or the L'Orfeo Baroque Orchestra. Elisabeth Breuer shows her flexibility and openness often in special concert formats: for example, she enthused in 2017 at the Grand Advent Concert of the Dresden Kreuzchor in the Rudolf Harbig Stadium or in 2018 at the Wintermärchen in the Elbphilharmonie alongside Heike Makatsch, Albrecht Mayer and Daniel Hope, where she can be heard again in 2020. Elisabeth Breuer studied singing with Elisabeth Batrice at the University of Performing Arts in Graz, with whom she still works today. www.elisabethbreuer.com
