Raised in a small town in Hampton Roads, Va DukeTheUno is a multi layered Artist on the rise. Growing up in a home with 7 other siblings and the occasional family member(s), he was able to learn a lot about different personalities by being the middle child. This would later show in his songwriting capability’s and music structure. Having a producer brother and other musical relatives the music was already a part of his life so naturally at age 7, he started rapping with his older brothers UrBoyBlack and Smoove Duke. Being too young he wasn’t taken seriously but he decided not to give up but to make his music undeniably good. As He got older he started to see the world for himself experiencing love,heartbreak,the street life, losing love ones with the death of a childhood friend and the incarceration of his older brother Duke. After losing his brother to a 32 year sentence he decided to take on the name Duke to not only to keep his legacy but to put his brothers name in a better light. Through UNO’s music you can hear and feel all his experiences,hardships, and aspirations.
