Ignacio La Conga is a research and development project focusing on traditional music from South America and beyond and how it outgrows the age of A.I. and digital audio. By the end of 2020, producers ROOi (Martin d’Alessandro) and Medix Cielx (Sky Parnes) had been colaborating online when they received the offer to live stream as how ran by local art collective FVTVRA. This event prompted the foundation of the band once multi-instrumentalist Facundo Fernandez Alberdi joined in. Ignacio La Conga has since released a debut EP “Donde se Quiebran las Hachas” released by Fértil Discos in 2021. In 2022 they werei nvited to participate in compilation LPs by record labels Muakk and Kirmana. During that summer they embarked in their first national tour and held lectures at selected workshops. Their first club-ready live performance was broadcasted the same year in RadioREA. Their new EP “AbranCancha” - released by Eck Echo Records- opens the playing field for 2023 features the single Luz Mala which includes the band's debut video clip.
