Born and raised in the California Central Valley & Bay area, at 5 years young, Ric knew exactly what he wanted to do in life. He entered the entertainment business following in the footsteps of his grandmother Gwen Amey-Hollins - who was trained under the tutelage of Dr. Mattie Moss Clark and his biological father Samuel Rangel, who was a part the 90s rap group, Felony, during the g-funk era and later in Christian rap as DosthePsalmist. He grew up directing both adult and youth chairs at his church and created original music for both. Ric is the eldest of 11 and has traveled throughout California performing with his family at different church and community events. After receiving his B.A. he made the move to Los Angeles to pursue his entertainment career fully. Ric released his first album, "Best of Me," in the summer of 2020 and his 2nd album, "Black," at the beginning of 2022. From musical theater to the music industry and recently television and film as an actor and screenwriter, he is continuously chasing and reaching his dreams and aspirations.
