Rising artist, Kupid aka Q, has been performing since he was a young teenager. His musical influences growing up have led him to become a versatile and dynamic artist. His first big break came when he joined the group, Crossovah, a band that blurred the lines between Caribbean and mainstream music. After the group parted ways, Q began his solo career, where he has been praised for his ability to genre bend into hip hop, R&B, reggae, soca, and pop. His hit songs, “Hey Girl”, “Rant” and “Who Shot Ya” are prime examples of this artist’s universal style. Kupid aka Q has grown an impressive fan base and has been touted by Axs.com as one of the “10 emerging artists in Hip Hop and R&B music to watch”. Kupid aka Q ventured into his solo recording artist career as a hip hop and island pop artist. Q released his first single “Hey Girl” ft. Thomas Miller (2013), reminiscent of Will Smith’s “Summertime”, serving chill pool party, summer barbeque vibes. The track caught the attention of international reggae sensation, Gyptian, who invited the young artist to tour with him for multiple dates across the east coast and began building his fan base as a solo artist. Acting as a mentor to the emerging artist, producer Troyton Rami (Sean Paul, Beenie Man, Tinashe) collaborated with Q to produce his hit single, “Who Shot Ya” ft. Jus J (2016). In addition, he continued his work with Troyton and created a remix for “Who Shot Ya” including a music video, soon to be released.
