Daniel Murray (1981) Considered one of the most talented Brazilian guitarists of his generation, Daniel Murray pursues an active career as an interpreter and composer, performing in Brazil, Latin America and Europe since 1998. His first prize at the Concours International de Guitarre de Trédez-Locquémeau, in Brittany, France, at the age of 15, marks the beginning of his career. platform for classical music. In 2017, he made his début as a soloist, performing Heitor Villa-Lobos' concerto, as well as his own composition "Camarecóica" with the Israel Chamber Orchestra (ICO) conducted by Doron Salomon, in Tel-Aviv. In 2018, he received a prize at the FMCB – Festival de Música Contemporânea Brasileira for his performance honoring Egberto Gismonti. In the same year, he also played as a soloist with the Orquestra Sinfônica Nacional (OSN) in Brasília and the Camerata da Orquestra Experimental de Repertório (OER), and toured in Germany promoting his recent solo album "14-37 - Brazilian Music for Solo Guitar" (Acoustic Music Records), in which he presents a retrospective of his career. In 2019 and 2020, besides of concerts in Chile (with Chilean Orquestra) Deenmark (with Michala Petri and Marilyn Masur) and several concerts in Brazil (São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro) Daniel releases the album "Universo Musical de Egberto Gismonti" thru Carmo/ ECM label produced by Egberto Gismonti and "Sombranágua: Septeto Autoral" dedicated to his own music.
