Romane was born in Lille and moved to Lyon with her family when she was only six years old. Growing up, her childhood was filled with African-American music. Her parents would listen on repeat to albums by Bob Marley, Michael Jackson and Cesaria Évora, and Romane also discovered the world of rap and R&B through her five siblings. Influenced by English-speaking soul and R&B icons such as Amy Winehouse, Bill Withers and Otis Redding, Romane decided that she too wanted to sing in English. At first listen, Romane surprises with her mature, intense and sensual voice. This 23 years-old French singer and songwriter releases her first EP "I know 'on September 2021. 
Pop and" feel good", somewhere between Amy Winehouse, Celeste and Jorja Smith, her first project is produced by Dan Black (ex-the Servant) and composed of catchy but also emotional songs. After a remarkable debut EP that reaches almost 4 millions streams, Romane is back with a new single.
