Mike Brown is a Black recording artist, music producer, podcast host, public speaker, teacher, yet, and still just Mike Brown. Born and raised in Houston, TX, Mike allowed his love of music and sound to guide him as early as the 3rd grade when he recorded himself for the first time, not knowing then that diving into this sea of sound would lead to a lifelong submersion. His music appreciation focused on the likes of producers such as Mannie Fresh, Timbaland, and The Neptunes, leading to an early interest into electronic instruments that was later honed at Xavier University in New Orleans. Mike recognized how art made him feel both as a consumer and a creator and intended to capture his emotions and feelings in his creations to share that energy with listeners. Mike treated his own art as a way to express things that he wasn’t quite able to communicate verbally. After graduation Mike moved to Los Angeles, CA, to pursue a career in music. He’s worked with artists like Dee-1 and Odd Future’s Mike G. Mike composed music for Jay Z’s “Life and Times” website and worked with many up and coming artist. With his projects “Fear Less,” and “Care Less,” Mike used his music to pour out his deepest inner feelings. His most recent passion lies in ‘The Art of Letting Go,’ a podcast he started with friend and co-host Alfpha reflecting on their lives and lessons they’ve learned along the way. Mike Brown is an artist and a creator and he welcomes others to join him on this journey.
