Comp Dagreat, (St. Louis native) started rapping at the age of 12 in the state of Kansas. Flying under the radar for 2yrs developing his craft until noticed by his older brother who immediately went out & bought all the studio equipment necessary for Comp to begin his takeover. At the age of 14 Comp did his 1st show opening up for Tech9 in Topeka Kansas. Over the years Comp DaGreat has blessed many stages & performed at countless venus. Comp's love for music & the industry pushed him to start his own record label partnering with his older brother to establish Lu-City Records. Comp began working with other talented artist in the St. Louis area helping them pursue their dreams & work towards the success in each individual artist. Wanting growth & unity to be the standard, it wasn't easy to keep everyone on the same page. It wasn't long before Lu-City Records failed as a company. Comp soon started another lable from the ground, in the spring of 2007 StarvnArtistEnt was born. With Comp's brother incarcerated Comp was left to do it all on his own. Starting from scratch Comp began working on his own legacy. Wanting to make the kind of music that would last forever, Comp paid attention to the artist that made that kind of music. Taking inspiration from artists like Ice Cube, Will Smith, 2Pac & Eminem just to name a few, Comp worked hard to produce music that could bridge the gap between entertainment & education, saying "with me you get more than just the music".
