Ana Đurić was born in 1978 in Belgrade. She holds a degree in architecture from the University of Belgrade. She worked in the architecture sector for five years. Her music career as songwriter, composer and vocalist started in 2001. In 2007, with a group of friends she started a band named Zemlja gruva (Land of Groove) and a studio called Grooveland. Zemlja gruva is a band that ranks highly on the Serbian music stage. With the band Zemlja gruva, she performed at all relevant music festivals in Serbia and countries in the Western Balkans, including as the opening act for top-rated global celebrities - Cee Lo Green, Nouvelle vague, and certainly the most important one being the opening act at Amy Winehouse’s last concert, which was held in Belgrade in 2011. Since 2020, she started releasing her own music under the name Konstrakta. Music now became primarily a conveyor for the lyrics she writes. She is interested in contemporary social and emotional phenomena. Each song covers a specific topic, from her own personal perspective. She is the conceptual designer or at least takes part in the conceptual design of every music video that she releases. She also designs visuals and graphics for Zemlja gruva, as well as for the songs released under her own name. In addition to writing music, she has also been in charge of booking acts, organizing concerts and handling press relations for her band.
