As a producer/DJ/vocalist/songwriter, LA native Lauren Kop has cultivated a vivid musical world that's meant to hit you in the feels on the dance floor. Blending musical styles and drawing inspiration from pop and dance influences, Lauren has written, produced, and released multiple EPs and a full length album under the artist name mini bear. Passionate about community building and helping to create opportunities and representation for marginalized genders, they are the Chief Education Officer at FEMME HOUSE, a nonprofit that creates opportunities for women, gender-expansive, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ creatives in the technical and behind the scenes areas of music. An avid Abeton Live user and synth maven, they have collaborated with companies such as Moog, Ableton, Apogee, and BandLab. They were featured in Patch & Tweak with Moog, contributed to a sample pack for BandLab (in collaboration with FEMME HOUSE), created a sample pack for Splice as part of their Creator Class, and created a demo set called “Juicy Tuesday” for the app Ableton Note. With years of experience and dedication to mastery of Ableton Live and music production, their passion for sharing their expertise and empowering producers has led them to teaching classes and workshops that focus on maximizing your creative potential through technology.
