Steady pop composer Emily Ann Imes (they/them), fresh off of their years in New York City, is returning to the forefront of their career with North Side Angel, their eleventh “composition collection” and the first to be released on iTunes since 2011’s Almond Dust. This new 12-track album features compositions from the end of Emily's NYC tenure, plus new tracks written from their new home in the capital city of Ohio. The songmaker and pianist who first hit airwaves with 2005’s Heaven’s Light has assembled a sound of a one-man band, tying in themes of loss and heartbreak with a few glimpses of hope. Emily now resides in Columbus, Ohio, and is preparing a new genre shift.
