Hrishikesh Datar is an Indian Singer/Songwriter, Music Composer, Producer, and Independent artist based in Pune, India. Raised in the renowned family of Indian classical music, Hrishi found his passion for music at a very early age. He embarked on the journey of playing instruments with Tabla and later progressed to Drums, Piano, Guitar. Pursuing his love for songwriting, his music brings together a variety of genres, styles, and instrumentation. He has been actively composing/producing songs and creating background music for Movies. He has made his mark in the industry by composing music in over 10 movies viz., 'Double seat', 'Anandi Gopal', Girlfriend', 'Muramba' and ‘YZ’. His work has been recognized with many prestigious awards like Filmfare, Mirchi Music award, Sakal Premier Award, and Zee Citragaurav. Hrishi already has a collection of independent music released on all digital platforms. His songs have appeared on Spotify and Apple music officially curated playlists. Current work includes a couple of albums which are of indie-pop, fusion, electronic, and world feel that appeals to diversified audiences. In addition to composing, Hrishi has been a part of popular television shows such MTV Unplugged, The Dewarists, and Times of Music. He works as a Drummer for eminent artists like Agnee, Richa Sharma, Monali Thakur, Divya Kumar, Javed Ali, and more for shows across the globe.
