Born and raised in the Netherlands now relocated to New York City, Jordi Iven has grown into a valued music selector in New York. With a sharp ear and innate understanding of the crowd’s energy, Jordi’s dynamic sets blend the various sub-genres of house and techno, bringing people to their feet regardless of the place or time he’s playing. He had his festival debut in 2016 on New York’s Governor’s Island at the Pinknic Festival. He returned a year later, this time hosting and playing the Kinder Circus stage. Memoirs - “A diary of a true house and techno party,” is the catalyst for his music passion. Jordi and Leo Cruz started Memoirs with a residency at Schimanski in Brooklyn, followed with pop-ups at 1OAK, The Williamsburg Hotel, Le Bain, and until recently, a residency at Paradise Club. Their party is already considered hot in the underground scene in New York, and along with their personal growth, the label, and their vision, they have all the ingredients to take this to the next level. Jordi Iven and Leo Cruz’s debut release, “Dark Journey / Sky On Fire EP,” on “Memoirs Records,” September 4th, is the start of a new journey. Creating a unique connection with art, music, and fashion and working with other artists while holding firm to their quest for the future of electronic music. With two more EP’s “Lotus” and “Lose Yourself” coming out on Memoirs Records, and the single "Desert Nomad" on Glory Hill Studio it's already a full year of new music, and more to come!
