A passion project based on nature, love, and expression through sound. Born and raised in Brooklyn, East New York, Haku was exposed to the melting pot of cultures residing in NYC where he experienced a multitude of music, which to him had no label. 
 He grew up listening to Hip Hop, Rock, R&B, Soul, and Latin/Caribbean music. These influences led him on his musical journey. Combining rap and melodies, his solo work exhibits an intimate tone, paired with introspective lyrics, and an unapologetic vulnerability. 
 Collaborating with others on a wide variety of songs Haku compliments his fellow artists with his distinctive voice and flow. One of his latest features Miss My Friends by DeonRaps showcases this unique style. 
 Haku has founded an annual interactive arts and music festival held in NYC called BONFIRE. Featuring artists from every genre and medium, over the past 10 years this grassroots event has evolved and grounded many independent artists, showcasing their work throughout the year. 
 His work on albums such as Hidden Colour’s “Colour Blind” & “Different Shades”, Gangtivity Lost My Soul (Interlude) [feat. Haku Leaf] , and @DeonRaps “The Garden”, gives a perspective of the diversity established within his passion. His debut album is currently being recorded, the genre-bending, melodic journey continues ♲︎
