An up-and-coming singer-songwriter/producer, Anjali Singh is breaking the barriers of genre, melding R&B, pop, alternative and hip hop music into her own characteristic style punctuated with painfully honest lyrics, ‘falling’ riffs, and unique vocal layering. Now 18, the Guyanese-Canadian artist begin releasing songs in 2016 to process her feelings, with early single "These Feelings" offering an uncut window into the teenage psyche. From age 4, Anj, a serial musician, had already begun playing piano and continued to master instruments, adding guitar, drums, bass, and trumpet to her arsenal. When her hunger for music led to penning original orchestration and lyrics at 12, Anj started writing tracks, and quickly fell in love with music production. Singh credits artists like Kanye West, Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Russ, Mac Miller, and Kehlani as early influences, but finds most of her inspiration from today’s world and her own life experiences.
