Copenhagen based singer/songwriter, film composer and radio host who emerged around the turn of the century and was critically acclaimed as well as commercial successful. 5 albums were made and accompanied with a multitude of awards to his cap. From 2007 to 2011 Mikael joined Trentemøller and played over 180 concerts covering 4 continents, including gigs at Roskilde, Glastonbury and Coachella festival. Mikael is a part of the spoken word trio "Vi Sidder Bare Her" bearing the voice of filmmaker Jørgen Leth, the trio has released 5 albums. Mikael has also featured playing french harp live with Peter Sommer, Nils Frahm, Devendra Banhart, Nulle & Verdensorkesteret, Mellemblond and Love Shop. Simpson has remixed Peter Sommer, Kashmir, Choir of young believers, Jakob Bro and many others as well as contributing playing bass and guitar on remixes of Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode.
