In the past year, Melbourne-based, Irish-born singer, songwriter & producer, Sean Frayne has been getting noticed in the world of folk-pop. With a couple of appearances at Sofar Sounds and multiple semi-final placements in the International Songwriting Competition, it's only a matter of time before his music becomes more widely known. Since the release of his full length self-produced debut album and two EPs, his songs have been getting the attention they deserve: his track Treading Water premiered on national radio (thanks to TripleJ) and Beat Magazine described him as a singer that “rings of a soulful folk-pop sound”. Two of his songs, Haunting You and Seven Kisses made it to the semi-finals of the International Songwriting Competition (2022 & 2023), out of over 20k entries. His song Better On You was picked up by Spotify’s editorial team for features on Fresh Finds and Fresh Finds Pop, and this year, his song Seven Kisses hit a whopping 230k streams, having been added to over 5,000 fan's personal playlists. Past live performances include shows at The Northcote Social Club, The Gasometer Hotel, The Workers Club and appearances at Sofar Sounds Melbourne. 2024 is set to be a big year for Sean with a slew of new releases ready to unleash and more live appearances to come - stay tuned!
