Though born in Manila, Rio Lucas grew up all over the world, residing in various cities in the Philippines and Micronesia. Through such, he found his love for the island life, which had left a lasting mark on him. Mentored by his late father, a musical savant, Rio Lucas picked up the guitar at the early age of 6. Learning classical music earlier on, he grew into Rock n Roll, Blues, and later expanded his horizons to RnB and Hiphop. In his teen years, he experimented with bands, and did sessions with musicians form Dumaguete, where he found his roots. Of note is Rio’s venture with his band “All Over The Place” aka “AOTP”, which had garnered recognition for their sound and style. Having opened for famous Philippine acts such as IV Of Spades, Parokya ni Edgar and the likes, AOTP had managed to catch the ears of major labels, and were signed to Warner Music. The pandemic in 2020, however, crippled the industry, and had forced the group to disband eventually. Despite this, Rio’s love for music had pushed him to continue creating by himself. In 2022, Rio was invited to be a producer for SOBV Forever, where he ventured further out of his comfort zone and eventually decided to create his own music for himself. Having tapped into his undying love for music, Rio Lucas aims to create, evolve, and leave a legacy through his music and shared experiences.
