* 1958, Coburg, lives and works in Munich Saxophonist, freelance composer and improviser, Magister of Arts in Philosophy, founder of GNU Records & Publishing and the operator of KlangBuero (SoundOffice) since 2012, as a sound art concept for collecting unprecedented and desired sounds. There takes place since 2015 the Tubax Festival. In 2018, KlangBüro is winner of the APPLAUS award for cultural outstanding programming Norbert R. Stammberger cultivates the intuitive style of composition and improvisation. He works in foresight on a place, a situation, a room, even if he does not yet know it. Often one can say in retrospect: Here was the not-yet, the moment from which the none (non-existent) showed itself as a transition to possibility. The composer @Norbert_R_Stammberger traces intuitively bringing this moments to birth. "Poem I-X" has been released on CD at https://www.gnurecords.com. His own ensembles are Mambo Varèse (Munich / Kyoto / Izmir), ElectriqueTrio (Buenos Aires / Zurich) and Torino Blackout DBL BTR (Turin / Copenhagen); A Japantour with the Stammberger Pultz Melbye Tavil Trio; GNU Solo Tour through Mongolia with the Roaring Hooves Festival 2019. Collaborations with @Amon_Düül_II, Embryo, Mal Waldron, Fred Frith, Allen Ginsberg and Peter Brötzmann.
