Hi there, Krystle here. I don't particularly like Spotify, but I do like mix tapes - cd mixes, too. Sometimes, I get the urge to make a mix, and when that urges arises, I do not fight it. The newest mix, "SAMUHFUHKAHS" was a doozy to compile, not least because a few choice tunes were nowhere to be found around here. For instance, everyone knows that Nina's performance of "Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" from the "Live Euro Concerts" is the pinnacle. And I respect Joni; I also wish "Sweet Bird" was available to listen to here. Joni's "Sweet Bird" should follow The Lovin' Spoonful, and Prince's "Power Fantastic" follows "Sweet Bird", which is really lovely actually, as he was a big fan of hers - which isn't why they're placed in that order; it flowed well is all. Teddy's "Touching Home" wasn't the first recording of his that I heard ("Brink of Love" holds that spot) but his vocals on 'Up Front and Down Low' are a masterclass. His manager at the time gifted me that cd, as I had openly stated that I needed to get my hands on it in a comment on Teddy's MySpace page. All those amazing voices which feature on "SAMUHFUHKAS" touched my soul and trained my ears. I hope you enjoy the selection of tunes...and, I hope that they inspire you as well.
