Aymar Torres is a multi-lingual singer and musician from Oranjestad, Aruba. This Caribbean island is full of cultures and different music styles. An island on which the average person speaks 4 languages (Papiamento, Dutch, English and Spanish). From a young age, Aymar had a passion for music and languages. At the age of 19 he moved to the Netherlands to pursue his music career. He is the vocalist-bassist for the rock band 'Boxruba' and guitarist for the reggae-ska band 'Offshore'. He has played on several major stages (for example Zwarte Cross and Madness Festival). Aymar also toured in Japan with the band 'Orange Grove', from Sint-Maarten. In the Netherlands he participated in the TV-shows "De Beste Singer-Songwriter van Nederland" and also ‘The Voice of Holland Season 10’. In 2017 Aymar Torres started a solo project as a Bossanova / Latin singer-guitarist. Now in 2020 he is releasing his debut single “E Porta” in his language Papiamento and will be releasing his first EP this summer.
