North London rapper, producer & pioneer of grime's newest renaissance. Described by NME as “experimental grime that’s both wonky and wonderful”, M.I.C (shorthand for the Master of Inane Conversation) is a North London based rapper/producer. Having been compared to artists such as FKA twigs, A$AP Rocky and Skepta, as well as being given co-signs from several grime stalwarts (namely Jme and Lethal Bizzle ), M.I.C and frequent collaborator, Sydney based producer leah h. released the mini album, "Heaven is Black" in March 2018, to critical acclaim. In January 2019, M.I.C was featured in the NME 100, NME’s annual rundown of “100 brand new artists set to dominate in the near future”. Since then, he has gone on to play many shows all over the UK (Warehouse Project in Manchester, the monthly night by experimental electronic label Hyperdub "ø" & CRXSS PLATFXRM Festival in Peckham, to name a few), and has been covered by several notable publications, such as Trench, Complex and Dummy Mag. In October 2019, M.I.C's track "Afropunk, Atlanta" was featured on the eighth episode of Blonded Radio (brainchild of one of the most elusive characters in popular music, Frank Ocean). In July 2021, M.I.C came together with Norwood producer Nammy Wams to release "You Can Achieve Anything", a 6 track/18 minute mixtape of progressive grime which takes as much influence from Nietzsche and anti-religious death metal bands like Immolation as it does from Carns Hill and President T.
