Thuto Mokgwabone better known as Solid T is one of Mafikeng's gems. He began his music career in 2006 when the motswako bug bit him. He drew a lot of inspiration from the talent that emerged from this unique genre of hip hop from the North West Province. The likes of HHP, Notshi and Caspper Nyovest propelled Thuto to want to tell real stories in his home language. Thuto is not only known for his songwriting abilities, he clearly lights up the dance oors. In 2007 we was one of the winners of hit dance show on SABC 1 Jika Ma Jika. His unique skill of choreography, allowed him the opportuni- ty to work on many of Motswakos First Lady, Fi Coopers hit tracks to life through dance. In 2016/2017 Thuto was the head of A&R on a project called “HUIZBRAAK VOL.1” a part- nership project with Khuli Chana/My Throne Records. In 2018 he became a creative artist, hypeman and choreographer at Fifi Coopers record label Mo’Cooper Records. Solid T is currently working on his solo project set to be released in 2020/2021.
