Cass Anawaty is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and audio engineer living in Arizona. Cass’s musical sensibilities stem from being an “80’s child”, and he was not only influenced by the “New Wave” sounds of the times (The Fixx, Talk Talk, Missing Persons), but also by the rock and metal that was happening at the time (Def Leppard, Rush, Joe Satriani). Beginning as a drummer, he moved to guitar a few years later, then synths and bass guitar as his imagination called for it. He is also an accomplished acoustic guitarist, having been inspired by the late Michael Hedges. He has studied guitar with Don Latarski (theory), Mark Taylor (flamenco), and Alex DeGrassi (fingerstyle). Cass founded Majestica in 2016 with flautist and Heart Dance Records owner Sherry Finzer (Heart Dance Records), and guitarist Brian Fechino joined in spring of 2020.
