Filippo Macchiarelli comes from an eclectic musical background: classical and jazz studies at the conservatory, at the same time open to funk, blues, rock and pop. Bass player, double bass player, singer and teacher, he began to perform professionally live at the age of 15, maturing over the years a book of collaborations with prominent national and international personalities such as: Paolo Damiani, Rosario Giuliani, Enrico Intra, Ascher Fisch, Dino Betti Van Der Noot, Flavio Boltro, François Corneloup, Nico Gori, Stefano Paolini, Massimo Morganti, Maurizio Rolli, Daniele Di Gregorio, Giovanni Allevi, Loretta Grace, Linda Valori and many others. Former bassist of Paolo Damiani's National Jazz Orchestra, winner of the 2015 Abbado Prize for the jazz section and of several national competitions (Fara in Jazz, Mediterraneo Jazz Festival, etc.), he was selected nationally by MIDJ for an Italian-French residency artist at the Casa del Jazz in Rome in 2019 and has also performed in prestigious reviews and jazz clubs in Italy and abroad.
