John Meva, also known as Maicel Kiel, hails from Duisburg, Germany, where he was born in 1980. He is a rising artist who doesn't like to be put in a specific genre box. However, he enjoys creating music with a harder edge, combining elements of trance with techno and psy, as well with atmospheric and melodic elements to create a unique sound that is entirely his own. His tracks have been released on big labels, including Dreamstate and Nocturnal Knights Music. He has garnered support from some of the biggest names in the industry, including Armin van Buuren on his A State of Trance radio show, Alex M.O.R.P.H., RAM, Woody van Eyden, Bryan Kearney, Scot Project, Aly & Fila and Andrew Rayel and many more. He has gone on to win the final round of the Bootshaus DJ Contest in Cologne in 2018, and has performed at Nature One since 2017. With credits in music production at SAE Cologne and Hofa GmbH, he is a self-educated artist dedicated to creating unique and driving tracks that touch people’s emotions.
