Biography

Jamakabi would class himself as a "Dancehall flavoured Grime emcee/artist". He was born in East London but grew up in various areas around London. He started his music career back in 2002 as a member of the legendary Roll Deep Entourage. Members included names such as Wiley, Tinchy Stryder and Dizzee Rascal. Jamakabi featured on the debate Roll Deep album called 'In At The Deep End' which sold over 85,000 copies, earning them a silver plaque. In 2004 Jamakabi featured on a track called 'Pow/Forward' by Lethal Bizzle (produced by Dexplicit). The track also featured names such as D Double E and FlowDan. This track turned out to be 1 of the biggest Grime track of all time. The track charted in january 2005 at number 11 in the U.K singles chart. In 2011 Lethal released a remix of 'Pow' featuring fellow Grime artists Jme, Wiley, Chipmunk, Face, P Money, Ghetts and Kano. In 2012 Jamakabi released a 5 track E.P called 'Humble Arrogance'. He's also had a few DnB releases on Metal Heads and a couple of Grime ones on Keysound. The latest of which was 'Juicy Patty' produced by the legendary Terror Danjah. Jamakabi juggles a music career of his own whilst managing artists such as Villz (formerly known as Villain) and Realz and working as head of A&R at Rhythm Rollers Ltd.
