Blue and Broke has been a very active live band, but only started releasing albums a few years ago. In 2016 their recording life started with Kiss Me Twice, an album designed to be a vinyl LP with a real A and B-side. This first album was followed by their 2018 release Edward, an album on which every song was inspired by a work of the famous American painter Edward Hopper. In between working on a third album they also recorded a 'Live in Studio'-album with songs of the first two albums. They have to admit: this was just for pure fun as it was great to be in the studio with so many background singers and the horns section. In 2021 they released a third more rocking and soulful album Night Shadows with the help of Henk Hofstede (NITS) and the Amstel Gospel Choir.
