Mika Sade is a unique bird in the Israeli music scene. Singer-songwriter and producer with virtuoso singing abilities, who on the one hand writes acoustic and pleasant songs, and on the other hand produces songs with a contemporary sound and electronic beats. The daughter of opera singer Gabi Sade and fashion designer Dorit Sade, she began composing her own songs at the age of 4, and by the age of 13 she formed her first band. At 19 she participated on the second season of televised talent contest – 'Kochav Nolad', Israel's own American Idol. In 2009 She released her self-titled debut album and in 2013 she released the second album "What do you prefer", both in Hebrew. Her third album "Birds & Guitars" (2016) earned plaudits from critics and fans. The album who contains eight intimate folk songs in English, was a result of collaboration with her partner and co-producer, OREL. The lead single from the album "Little Things", had entered Israel's most popular radio station GLGLZ. Its follow-up – her second English album "My Emotions" (2019) turned toward an electronic pop oriented sound. Produced by her and Orel with additional production of Atar Mayner, the album gained posiItive reviews in Israel and Europe. A major tour was planned for her and her band just before the pandemic hit in 2020. Mika Sade's lyrics and melodies are the kind that you find yourself humming in your own various moods with all the bittersweet complexity that her voice entails.
