Blending genres from dark electropop to folk to EDM, classically-trained pianist turned singer-songwriter Max Mellow delivers her debut EP “To All the Boys I Almost Loved”, showcasing cinematic production, haunting vocals and passionate storytelling. 
 Max studied piano for over a decade, competing at the national levels before pursuing a degree in Economics from MIT and working in finance. In 2018, she realized how much she missed music as well as how much she wanted to learn to sing. She soon began voice lessons in Bel Canto technique in NYC. The 2020 pandemic finally motivated her to write and record music. She counts among her many music influences Jewel, Eminem, Norah Jones, Lana Del Rey, Sara Bareilles, Dido, Ludovico Einaudi, Alicia Keys, John Prine, k-pop and mando-pop. Her music often explores themes of romantic fatalism, mortality and rebirth. 
 A proud Asian-American who was Minnesota-raised and now Miami-based, Max considers herself a citizen of the world, having visited over 40 countries and lived across Asia, Europe and music-rich cities like NYC, Los Angeles, London, Detroit and New Orleans. She can most often be found curled up on airplane window seats with her drone Toby, writing music en route to her next adventure.
