Biography

Agent Side Grinder is a Swedish post-punk and electronic band that emerged in the early 2000s. Known for their distinctive sound and atmospheric performances, they have become influential in Sweden and gained an international following.
The band's origins trace back to Stockholm, where founders Peter Fristedt and Johan Lange aimed to create a unique blend of post-punk, darkwave, and electronic music, inspired by Joy Division, Throbbing Gristle, Suicide and Kraftwerk.
Their self-titled debut album in 2008 immediately caught attention, merging electronic rhythms with haunting melodies. That formula continued on Irish Recording Tape (2009) with instant favorites such as "Die to Live" and "Life in Advance."
From Hardware (2012) to Alkimia (2015) and A/X (2019), the band demonstrated great versatility while staying true to their dark and atmospheric roots. Tracks like "This is Us," "Giants Fall," and "Stripdown" are considered modern underground classics.
Their latest effort, Jack Vegas (2023), the second album with singer Emanuel Åström, is described as an analog road trip through America and Sweden.
ASG have performed at various venues and festivals across Europe and North America, earning critical acclaim and an ever-growing dedicated fan base.
