Biography

Motivated by Ritchie Blackmore’s Highway Star guitar solo recorded by his brother in an old cassette tape, Waguito Aleixo, or Wagner Felipe Aleixo, built his first guitar when he was 8 years old. In fact, a bunch of fishing lines tied in screws and wood pieces could not make any sound, but it inspired his dad, Edson Roberto Aleixo, to present him to a real acoustic guitar. “And there was light”! Music is his relief, his outlet. After participating in some local bands like Tomahawk, Placa Preta and Capitão Barato, in 2015 he joined a band called JaElvis, which would later be called João Cascaio, where he currently plays guitar, scratches some rolls on banjo and tries to keep on tune in the damn pedalsteel. 24 years later he grabbed dad’s acoustic guitar, in 2020 his first instrumental album started to take form debuted on 2021. The purpose of it is to make it all at home, using TELECASTER guitars and his PHONE (thanks technology!), so we have the first album’s name: “TELE’N PHONE”. In addition to the desire of sharing his music, editable files and mixing tracks are shared too, as an attempt to help people who also wish to materialize their musical ideas in a more accessible way than traditional methods of recording, mixing and mastering.
